Counseling Ministry

Christian leaders often need a neutral party to help them think through issues they are facing in their personal or family lives. Many of the Barnabas staff have either a pastoral or clinical counseling background. They are able to “come alongside” and listen carefully to the situation and to explore the possibilities for continued growth.

The counseling ministry of Barnabas International is founded on biblical principles yet strives to meet both spiritual and emotional needs. Our professionally trained staff provides counsel to missionaries, national Christian workers and their families abroad and here in the United States on matters of personal concern. Counselees will come from the following sources: self initiated by the individuals in direct contact with our counseling staff members or through referrals from mission administrators or other Barnabas International staff members. To supplement our counseling ministry, our staff is capable of providing seminars or workshops on such topics as: conflict management, team building, encouragement, personal and spiritual growth, communication and people-helping skills. The counseling ministry is not a “stand alone” ministry. It is a support ministry to many other ministries within the organization.
