MK and Family Services

Barnabas International is committed to missionary families and a vital part of any family is the children. For that reason, we have a ministry area designated to the nurture and care of missionary kids (MKs) as well as family matters. Our desire is to “come alongside” parents to encourage, equip and edify their children.

Barnabas has staff members who have lived overseas and raised their own children overseas. They are capable to assist families on the field and at home on issues relating to the needs of their children. They can help by providing assistance with issues such as educational options, raising resilient MKs, issues of transition, dealing with separation, reentry issues, cultural adjustment and much more.

Barnabas offers MK Reentry Seminars in partnership with the Narramore Christian Foundation. These seminars are designed for high school MK graduates who are headed back to North America to attend college or join the work force.

Barnabas offers college age MKs encouragement through the ministry of Mu Kappa. It is a ministry that has a motto of “By MKs for MKs”, helping MKs embrace their past while building toward their future.
